Awards leave Anushka Sharma speechless
Actress Anushka Sharma, who recently won an award for her performance in Jab Tak Hai Jaan, says delivering a thank you speech on the stage is a hassle for her.

She won the best actor (female) for comedy/romance trophy at the recent Stardust awards here.

“Whenever I get an award, I don’t understand what to say while receiving it on the stage. I have nothing to say. Sometimes, only because I get so hassled because of the speech, I say ‘don’t give me awards’,” the 24-year-old said here in an interview.

However, Anushka admits winning awards make her parents happy.

“The first time that I won an award, I felt very nice. My parents were very happy. So I feel good winning these awards because it gives so much happiness to my parents,” she said.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan
Jab Tak Hai Jaan (transl. As long as I live) is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Yash Chopra; written and produced by Aditya Chopra under their production banner, Yash Raj Films. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles; the story revolves around Samar Anand (Khan) a bomb disposal expert whose diary falls into the hands of an intern Akira Rai (Sharma). The diary recounts his time as a struggling immigrant in London, and later details his whirlwind romance with Meera Thapar (Kaif).

Jab Tak Hai Jaan marked the second collaboration between Khan and Sharma, as they previously featured in the film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008) and the first between Khan and Kaif. Yash Chopra returned to direction eight years after Veer-Zaara. This film was Yash Chopra’s fourth film to feature Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. This is his final film before his death in October 2012.
